My daughter will be a flower girl later this year. My favorite story of her is when we took her to Walt Disney World in FL at the age of 2 1/2. We were going to get Mickey's autograph. It had been a raining day and we were soaked. We waited in the very long line to see Mickey, she was in an umbrella stroller. When we entered the room, she immediately got up from her stroller, ran with open arms and gave Mickey the biggest hug. Santa, the Easter Bunny, and all other characters were scary to her, but not Mickey.
Both my husband and I were shocked and touched to see such a sight, and a little jealous too.

Hey, I really like your bicycle! He shouted three years ago when I was riding on my old bicycle on a Sunday noon near his place, I gave him a very bad look, although I knew who he was.. Right the next day he was outside my place and ask me if he could borrow my bike, of course I said "NO" at first, but he was very persistent (pain in the $%#@) so I said "fine take it but make sure to bring it back by 2:00pm. It was 4:00pm and my bike was not there, OMG I was sooooo upset! Around 5:00pm he showed up without my bike...."close your eyes he said" I said "NOOOO where is my bike?" He ask me to take a walk " I will take you to your bike, I couldn't bring it with me because had an accident and it's too heavy to carry". I didn't wanted to tell him no because he seem so excited. We walked to a near park there he ask me if I was dating anybody, (I had already forgotten my bike) I said NO, then he ask me to go out with him sometimes I said ummmmm OK I'll think about it. A week later he gave me back my bike with a note (do you want to be my girlfriend?) I said "yes" and here we are three years later planning our wedding. very excited!

  3. A sweet quiet voice whispered, "hi do you have a date to prom". I turned and said no not yet, do you? He replied,"I do now". This was 6 years ago and we are still deeply in love. We both have been through tragic family moments but has come out stronger than before. My mother will not be with us on this lovely day because she passed away a few years ago AND his mother is a breast cancer survivor. I am having 3 flower girls and all still need their dresses. I know that 3 is a lot but love doesn't come with numbers. I truely love my fiance and know that he is very open to every choice I make, so winning a flower girl dress would be very impressive and appreciative. So if you want to be a blessing to anyone, I would best qualify and the girls would love it.

  4. My daughter Carrera is going to be a flower girl for her uncle and new aunt-to-be this year. She is a very sweet 3-year-old who is growing up much too fast. One of our sweetest moments came last year when we added a second daughter to our family. Carrera came to meet her new little sister in the hospital. It was my first time being away overnight and I wasn't sure how she would react to a new baby. The baby was sleeping in her bassinet in the hospital room and Carrera tiptoed over to her and said "She's adorable" about 5 times in the softest voice possible full of awe and wonder. It made me cry and wish I'd had a videocamera with me. Just thinking about that moment now makes me teary-eyed all over again. On days when my girls are bickering over toys, I try to remember that first day they met and hope they will grow up to be great friends.

  5. My 4 year old had taken a toy from her younger sister. Sitting in time-out, she asks, "Mommy am I a bad girl?" I replied,"No baby, you are not a bad girl...you are a good girl, you just made a bad choice." A couple of weeks later, her sunday school teacher approaches me and tells me that in class she was telling a story about a man who walked by a hurt man laying in the road and he just passed him by and didn't help. Another child commented and said the man who didn't help was a "bad guy". The teacher agreed and said yes he was. My daughter Trinity said, "No, there are no bad people, there are just good people who sometimes make bad choices." Her sunday school teacher said, "I realized that she was right and I was wrong...so I just said you're right, would you be the new teacher?" I just laughed after she told me, but later it really touched me. That her little mind grasped one small thing I said, and understood it completely. And that it would shape how she would view people for the rest of her life. I thought it was so precious. Trinity is now 5 and will be the flower girl in my best friends wedding coming up. She is so thrilled!! She said, "I will look like a princess, mommy!" That is my most precious memory of her.

  6. I am the bride-to-be, and my engagement was the most beautiful moment of my life. But to me, the more entertaining story is that of one of my four flower girls-to-be. Sarah is my 6 year old precocious niece whose father is a minister, and so she has seen dozens of weddings. Like many girls, she dreams of being a princess and for as long as we can remember, she has always wanted to be a flower girl. When I asked the first three girls to be my flower girls, they were all elated, but when I asked Sarah, she could hardly contain herself. That was over the 4th of July, and even today, nearly a month later, it is ALL she can talk and dream about. We live in different cities, but she sends me drawings of what her dress could look like. She went to the chapel just so she could practice her walk. And just today, when I was visiting her, she begged me to show her picture of potential dresses. Every adult and child she sees, she tells them about her flower girl duties for next April. I never imagined that flower girl shopping would be this much fun but it is truly a blessing. I am so excited to have four flower girls and one in particular who will be dreaming about my wedding day almost as much as I am!

  7. I had mentioned to Batix [my boyfriend at the time] that I had to take care of my nephew and our new puppy that Friday night. My plan was to stay at home and watch kiddie movies with the "kids". But..I got an e-mail from our friend Michele about having a game night that Friday. I told her that I'd love to if I could bring my nephew and puppy. She said yes. So, that night, I prepared myself for a night of running around and wore my hair up and arrived in sweats. Batix helped me and the "kids" out of the car and the first thing he said to me was, "Ohhh...you look comfortable." Heck Yea!

And so we played Pictionary...with the Cranium cards. Batix and I were on teh same team. There was a bonus round..and winner would take all. The other team drew first. A picture of girl sitting on a couch with a big gift next to her was drawn. And in an instant, even before the drawing was finished, I thought, "easy..it's a ballerina." The other team ran out of time and didn't guess right. Not it was our turn. Batix insisted on knowing the answer and refused to consult with the rest of the team. I got frustrated because this could cost us the game when we were already points ahead. Batix went up to the drawing and confidently said, "It's Vanessa." I thought to myself...well that's nonsense, why would they have 'Vanessa' on a Cranium card? Then he went on to say, "It's a surprise for Vanessa!" And that's when it hit me...could this really be it??!! I instinctively hid under the couch pillows and all of a sudden I felt like I was 5 years old. He dragged me in front of the crowd of friends and got down on one knee.It was definitely a surprise...I was extremely excited...and that explained all the cameras that were out that night capturing "game night!"

  8. A little over a month ago, my then-boyfriend, me and seventeen others traveled out west to experience Yosemite National Park and a few other places out west. We had been camping all week and on Tuesday morning my fiance treated me by taking me to get a hot breakfast at the lodge near our campsite. Although it was a wonderful hot meal, I had no idea what the rest of the day would bring. I should have known something was up though when my boyfriend encouraged me to go ahead and put on my makeup even though I hadn't showered in three days! After we returned to the campsite and gathered everyone, we headed out to Glacier Point, an amazing overlook where you can see all of Yosemite Valley. We jumped out of the vans and started walking toward the point, hand in hand. When we reached the overlook, we climbed over the wall and walked all the way out to the edge of the cliff. My boyfriend handed his camera to his cousin to take our picture. Thinking it was the perfect photo op, I skipped out and was looking over the edge only to turn back around and see my boyfriend down on one knee in front of me. He quietly asked, "Will you marry me?" and I was completely speechless. I replied, "Andrew?! Are you serious?! Andrew?!" When I regained my senses, of course I said yes!! I called my mom in happy tears to tell her Andrew just proposed on the edge of a cliff! One of my favorite parts about this moment is the picture that his cousin took of him proposing to me on a cliff with all of Yosemite Valley in the background - its unbelievable!

  9. On October 25, 2009 our little girl Bella will be our flower girl in our autumn wedding. Bella is the light of our life, she is a funny, sweet and determined little girl! Since the day she was born(August 23,2007)she has made us laugh! She loves Mickey Mouse, dancing, gold fish, playdoh, and MILK! : ) She is a little Mommy and loves to take care of her babies. She does not like to share, sit at the table to eat or take a bath, but we're working on those! She is learning to talk and has been babbling since she was about a year old. Just this morning, Jeff and I were having a disagreement and he came in to say sorry and I said "me too" and Bella looked up at us and said "me too" and smiled ;) She is very sneaky and tends to take things and hide them and laugh as you look for it. Just the other day we found all her fridge magnets in our shoes in the hallway. I could go on all day...BUT my most special moment with Bella is a bitter-sweet memory. At 10AM on 12/30/2008 we got a call from Bella's daycare that she was running a temp of 101. I quickly called her pediatrician and made an appointment. Jeff left work and picked her up from daycare to take her to the appointment. The doctor said there seemed to be no sign of infection and to give her Motrin and watch the fever. He did not mention that if her fever did not some down that there could be a horrible reaction. Bella fell asleep on the way home from the doctors and not wanting to wake her, Jeff put her in her crib to sleep. Shortly after she woke, Jeff gave her the Mortin and I arrived home. It was about 2:30PM. Bella was hot to the touch and lethargic. I had never seen her this way before and was very concerned. Holding her in my arms, I started to walk upstairs to draw a cool bath. Suddenly, she started convulsing and her eyes rolled back into her head. She would not respond to me. I screamed for Jeff. He sat by her side as I called 911. I tried to contain my emotions as I explained to the operator what was happening. Bella was convulsing, her skin was stark white, she had shallow breathing, her body was stiff, her little toes were pointed staight out, her eyes were rolled back into her head and she was foaming from her mouth. The operator had asked about a fever and when I said it had been high, she explained that Bella was having a "febrile seizure" and that all we could do was pat her down with a cool cloth and turn her on her side to make sure she didn't choke. This was my worst nightmare. I couldn't help her. There was nothing we could do but wait it out. This was the longest 5 mintues of my life. Finally, she woke up and she seemed confused, as if she didn't know who I was. Then I heard it, and like the day she was born, she started crying and my heart melted. She was ok. Amist all the chaos of sirens and firemen, we looked into eachothers welled up eyes and she said "i o u" which means "I love you" to her. We hugged so tightly and in that moment I thought, this little girl is my world and I am so thankful to have her. This was a special moment. : )

My favorite moment with my daughter is when she was born and I saw her for the first time. I looked down at her and thought "what a miracle." She amazes me every day and I cannot believe that she is mine. Eve is three months old and is a happy and healthy baby girl. I was told I would never have children due to endometriosis. After a round of invitro and many prayers my husband and I were told we were having a baby girl!
Our dreams came true...after many complications during the pregnancy, I gave birth to Eve Alexandra on May 7th.
Eve was asked last week to be the flower girl in my childhood friend's wedding on September 12th. My friend Heather and I met when we were two years old and have been friends ever since. Heather does not have any siblings so I am the closest to a sister she has. I am proud to have Eve be her flower girl!
I have been searching for a week to find a dress that is 6 months old in size with no success. My mother in law sent me a link to your store and I found a several dresses in the style and size for Eve!
    I love my baby girl!!
