  2. Hello all ay My girl dress! Here is my engagement story! My name is Sierra Temple, I live in Starkville, MS. My story is pretty simple, but it's also very special to me! I am majoring in Spanish at Mississippi State University. My fiance, Ben, does not speak a word of Spanish. However, I do try to practice around him for practice. One of the things I do is read to him in Spanish (even though he has no clue what I'm saying ;) So, the night of March 1, 2009, I read to him two chapters of 1 Corinthians. I randomly chose two chapters taht were short. I didn't realize until I was reading that I had chosen the famous Love Chapter. The last verse with roughly reads, "And these three things reamain, faith hope and love, but the greatest of these is Love."

When I finished, he told me that he learned a new phrase in Spanish. I was quite shocked! he asked if I wanted to hear it and of course I said "yes" Then he proceded to say that he couldn't remember it, but had it written down... (hmmmm) So he got his jacket on the floor and began to pull something out of his jacket pocket. I began to get nervous right about now! He awkwardly shuffled over in front of me, careful to stay on his knees, or knee rather. Then he said, "Casate conmigo" I didn't react. He asked if I understood, and I asked him to repeat it. Remember he speaks NO Spanish. he said again, "Casate conmigo" He asked a second time if I understood, and I then translated directly and in a shaking voice, "Marry yourself with me," He then laughed and opened a box to the most beautiful ring I have ever seen.

I of course said yes and he slid the ring on my hand. It was all so perfect, and comlpletely on the fly. It turns out he was just hanging onto the ring waiting for the right moment. He did great! The verse (1Corinthians 13:13)has seemed to follow us through our engagement, so I was so happy the way the proposal happened. We are getting married June 5 of 2010, and we cannot wait to enter into a lifetime of love with each other. It is my honor to become his wife.

Well, that's our story, thank you all for considering us!
